Who are the authors?
Four proven experts have written this book, one being the co-founder and pioneer of Supply Chain Management, one specializing in industry and trade, one specializing in government and defense, and the fourth representing the academic side.
Dr. Christopher Gopal
Dr. Christopher Gopal has spent 35 years in global supply chain management, holding senior executive positions at Ernst & Young Consulting, Dell Computer, Unisys, and SAIC. He is a consultant, academic, and serves on the Defense Business Board, which provides the U.S. Secretary of Defense advice from the private sector perspective.
Gene Tyndall
Gene Tyndall is a supply chain management executive who has served as president of global supply chain solutions with a Fortune 500 corporation and as a consultant to 100+ companies, both as a partner of Ernst & Young and later as an executive advisor.
Dr. Wolfgang Partsch
Dr. Wolfgang Partsch, a pioneer of supply chain management, has served as chairman, Global Supply Chain Network of Ernst & Young, and has advised many presidents and CEOs.
Dr. Eleftherios "Lefteris" Iakovou
is the Harvey Hubbell Professor of Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M, and associate director of Resilient and Sustainable Supply Chains for the Texas A&M Energy Institute. He has led large-scale supply chain institutes and consortia funded by corporations and governmental agencies alike, in the U.S. and the European Union.
